Primary 7

🌟 Welcome to Primary 7! 🌟

Class Teacher: Miss Olliver

Classroom Assistants: Miss Russell & Mrs Cully

We’ve had a brilliant start to Primary 7! The children have been working extremely hard and are enjoying their time in school. As it’s our final year of primary, we’re excited to make lots of memories together.

💰 Snack & Lunch Payments

If your child is having school snack or lunch, please send money in on Monday mornings.

  • Snack: 50p per day

  • Lunch: £2.60 per day

  • Weekly Total: £15.50

💧 Staying Hydrated

Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school. They can refill it throughout the day — staying hydrated is important for learning and wellbeing!

📚 Homework

Each night, children will have:

  • Spellings

  • Numeracy facts

  • Reading

Written homework will be set when appropriate to support and consolidate class learning.

📘 Homework Planner Reminder

There is a space in your child’s homework planner for a parent or carer to sign each week, confirming that homework has been seen.

For reading homework, children are encouraged to write a short comment about what happened in their reading book. This helps develop comprehension and reflection skills, and gives us a lovely insight into their engagement with the story.

🏊 Swimming – Term 3

Primary 7 will be going swimming in Term 3. More details will follow closer to the time.

🎨 Extra-Curricular Activities

A range of activities will be available for Primary 7 pupils. Details will be shared in class and via SeeSaw. We’d love to see the children trying something new or building on existing skills

⏰ School Start Time Reminder

School doors open at 8:45am, and class learning begins promptly at 9:00am.

We understand that occasional delays can happen, but we would greatly appreciate your support in helping your child arrive on time each day. Regular punctuality and good attendance are essential for ensuring children make steady progress and avoid gaps in their learning.

Thank you for your continued support.

📲 Stay Connected with SeeSaw

Please make sure you’re signed up to SeeSaw, as this is where class messages and reminders will be shared.

By accessing your child’s journal, you’ll be able to view:

  • Classwork and activities

  • Homework updates

  • Friday test results

SeeSaw is a fantastic way to stay involved in your child’s learning journey and celebrate their progress throughout the year.

🌈 I’m excited to be working with your child this year and can’t wait to see them thrive, grow, and enjoy their final year of primary school. If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me via SeeSaw — I’m always happy to help and support both you and your child in any way I can.
